Can you introduce yourself?

Cory Estes, 32, Bangor, Maine, US (about 3/4 of a mile from Bangor Raceway), Purchasing Agent at an Electrical Supply distributor.

When did you start playing Off and Pacing?

Season 6 I think, the day it launched. (May 2017)

Have you been involved in the harness racing industry in real life?

Yes, my parents have been in racing since the early 70's. I spent many mornings in the tack room growing up and hanging out at Bangor Raceway and the Maine fairs at night. I have a QF license and get 2-3 qualifiers/fair drives a year.

What is your favourite part of the game?

Getting a homebred that wins a trophy... and beating my brother in a race.
I also like interacting with the OaP community.

What has kept you playing the game for so long?

Chasing that great one that can win multiple trophies.

What would you like to see changed in the game?

I'd like to see outside posts be not quite as detrimental.

What win are you most proud of?

I won the 25 million coin Bonanza Stakes with Bad Boy Damage after finishing 3rd in every leg. But my favorite is winning the Legends Series with Rockette Hanover season 20 because it came out of nowhere. She was definitely not the best horse. I had the 2 hole but was 9th at the top of stretch and somehow flew down the stretch and won.

Who is your favourite virtual horse?

Probably Bad Boy Biltmore, he was my first really good one. I bought him for 760k as a 1 year old season 10 which was alot back then. He ended up winning 94 races and over 9mil in coins. I got my first trophy with him. I'm still using his blood line now as my current good 2 year old is his great grandson.

What advice would you give to a new player just starting the game today?

Start with claiming races for 2 year olds and the ones under 100k for 4 year olds. Those can be very lucrative. Get the breeding barn and 200 mares as soon as possible.

Do you have any goals for your stable in the future?

I'm trying to get my breeding barn to produce like it did during seasons 20-30. Once my Navy Blue and Pine Lane horses aged out, my breeding barn stopped producing. I've rebuilt my breeding mares and sires recently so hopefully that will jump start breeding again.
