Bruce Richardson Wins Week 2 of the Catch Driver Showdown

The battle continued at Hanover Raceway, as 10 races were contested on Saturday afternoon. It was another exciting competition, coming down to the very last race of the day where Bruce Richardson found his way to the winner's circle aboard Jake Loewen at 16-1.

With 2 wins and 2 third place finishes from 7 drives, Bruce put up 68.9 points to secure the weekly win, which also gives him a 30 point lead on the season long leaderboard. For the win Bruce takes home a Ritter stopwatch, a $50 Esso gift card, and a Catch Driver T-Shirt.
Brett MacDonald had one win on the day, but slips to 2nd in the overall standings, only putting up 7.4 points this week.
Austin Sorrie came out like a rockstar winning the first race, and then finishing a narrowly beaten second at long odds in the next race. He later added another second plus a third to put up 35 points on the day which moves him into 5th place overall.
Doug McNair had a big day with 2 wins, 2 seconds and a third from only 6 drives, putting up a massive daily UDRS of 0.574. His 32 point performance puts him in 4th place overall.
Daryl Thiessen had two runner-up performances plus a third place finish from 6 drives. He was a head away from stealing the weekly showdown, beaten only narrowly on Demachracy in the 8th at 49-1.
Jason Ryan won 1 race from only 4 drives, scoring 21.8 points for his win aboard Top Of The Morning. Jason now sits in 6th overall.
Natasha Day had a second and 2 thirds from 6 drives. She puts up 41.8 points for hitting the board at 8-1, 16-1 and 25-1, which was enough to finish 2nd place for the week.
Paul Davies had a win and a third from 2 drives. Building on his 1 for 1 performance last week, Paul added another 12.8 points to hang on to 7th place overall dispite only driving in 3 races so far.
Ryan DesRoche had to settle for second place in his 1 drive for the afternoon, as the public choice Nancys Girl was beaten by Deep In The Red and Austin Sorrie.
Ryan Holliday had 2 wins, a second and a third from 6 drives to put up a solid 33.6 points on the day. He moves into 3rd place for the season long showdown.
